UFL Gears Up for Second Open Beta with New Features and Anticipation of a Major Player Surge

With the summer season in full swing, the usual sports competitions take a break, allowing us to focus on events like the European Championship and the Paris 2024 Olympics. This hiatus extends to sports video games as well. With the Mario & Sonic at the Olympics series discontinued and major international football tournaments concluded, enthusiasts eagerly wait for the next annual game releases. However, there's a promising new contender on the horizon set to challenge EA FC 25 and eFootball 2025. Known as UFL, this game has been quietly developing for years and is now gearing up for its second open beta run on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S from August 2-4.

The initial beta was a significant success, attracting an impressive 1.3 million players. This weekend’s beta may well exceed that number. New features, including the ability to play Match Mode offline in local mode, have been added to enhance the gaming experience.

Eugene Nashilov, the CEO of Strikerz, expressed his delight at the positive response to the first open beta. He emphasized the excitement surrounding the upcoming beta, which aims to establish a strong foundation for UFL's eventual release and future success.

It’s encouraging to see that the developers are in tune with their community. The team is eager to demonstrate the advancements made since the first beta in this latest version of the game as they move closer to launch.

While a specific release date for UFL hasn’t been announced yet, it has been confirmed that the game will be free-to-play upon its release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Thank you, VGC.
