Support for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been discontinued

Since its launch last year, we've gradually been adapting to Counter-Strike 2, much to the chagrin of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive enthusiasts, who were not thrilled to learn that their beloved game would be sidelined.

The once-revered top shooter for PC has now truly been consigned to oblivion. According to a Valve support document, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's support was discontinued on January 1st, 2024.

Although the original edition of the game continues to be playable, the active advancement of Counter-Strike 2 implies that the classic version may see a gradual reduction in functionality as time progresses. It has already been indicated that certain features, such as inventory access, may be phased out for players of the legacy game.
