During the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, Bandai Namco excited fans with the announcement of Gundam Breaker 4, slated for a worldwide release in 2024. This next installment in the popular series will be available on the Switch, among other platforms, offering players the chance to construct their "ultimate" Gundam. Participants will embark on various combat missions, battling enemies to secure their parts. This process not only expands their arsenal but also unlocks new abilities, allowing for extensive customization options.
Gundam Breaker 4 stands out for offering the most extensive selection of mobile suits and parts compared to its predecessors, drawing from more than 250 base kits. Gamers will have the freedom to mix and match components to personalize their Gunpla, creating unique combinations. Additionally, a Diorama Mode will enable enthusiasts to collect, arrange, and showcase their custom creations, adding a layer of visual enjoyment to the gameplay experience.
In preparation for the game’s launch, Bandai Namco has planned closed network tests in Japan, which will occur on March 15th and 17th across all platforms. These tests are designed to offer a sneak peek of the gameplay, including a "visual lobby" that can accommodate up to 24 players, an online multiplayer feature supporting three units (with a selection of three quests and difficulties), and an opportunity for players to customize up to 20 different units.
Gundam Breaker 4 promises to deliver an immersive and customizable gaming experience for Gundam enthusiasts and fans of the mech genre. With its broad selection of parts, engaging combat missions, and social features, it's poised to be a significant release for the franchise in 2024.
