Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a 3D platforming game that was released by Activision and Vicarious Visions in 1996. It is the third game in the Crash Bandicoot series and the first to feature 3D graphics.

The game starts with Crash and his sister Coco taking a break from their travels to enjoy themselves in a carnival. However, the great evil Dr. Neo Cortex and his minions show up and kidnap Coco. Crash is able to pursue them and eventually finds Cortex's space station. There, Crash finds the space station's power generator and destroys it. Dr. Cortex, enraged, tries to kill Crash with a laser, but it instead destroys a crystal that is keeping a giant asteroid from crashing into the space station. Crash then jumps into the escape pod and flies back to Earth while Cortex's space station is destroyed.

Gameplay

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a 3D platforming game which requires the player to complete a number of levels. There are four worlds with six levels in each world. Levels consist of a mix of running, jumping, climbing, sliding, and riding. Crash's main attack is spinning, which can be used to defeat enemies, break crates, and clear away rubble blocking Crash's path. As Crash collects crystals, he can break open a special crate which gives him a power-up. These power-ups include extra health, a speed boost, a boxing glove that attacks enemies, a shield that protects Crash from enemies and dangerous obstacles, and a jetpack that allows Crash to fly.

Graphics

The graphics in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run are not as detailed as the graphics in other games from 1996. However, it uses a lot of bright colors and is not too pixelated.

Replayability

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is an extremely replayable game. There are four worlds with six levels in each world. The game also features the ability to play the game in an easy, medium, or hard mode. This game is also very long for a game released in 1996.

Crash Bandicoot: On the run is a mobile game about a bandicoot trying to get away from a group of lab assistants. The player gets to control the bandicoot, and has to jump on boxes to get past obstacles. The player has to collect as many wumpa fruit as possible, and can also collect gems and wumpa fruit when jumping on boxes.
